Hey There.

The strategies that teachers use in the classroom are valuable outside the classroom. You know this. It's time everyone had access to the things teachers know. Now you do. Welcome!

Toddle Spots on Google

If you google 'Toddle Spots,' you will be inundated with a variety of rash causing childhood diseases. It's disgusting. Do an image search, that's real pretty. Perhaps, you think I made a mistake in naming. Perhaps, you are right. Perhaps, you have noticed I have slight obsession with the word 'perhaps.' I may have made a mistake. What do I know about techy web stuff anyway? I did google the term 'Toddle Spots' prior to naming this blog. I was well aware of my itchy web company. I just really liked the name and have a plan to rise above the pestilence.

Hey, I am just a girl with a dream. A dream that one day when a mom is trying to use google to diagnose the mysterious spots on her 3 year old, she will instead find me. Nestled between measles and chicken pox like chalky pink calamine lotion to a worn out mommy or daddy. Calling out from the depths of poison oak and diaper rash to weary souls needing to remember that life with toddlers can still be fun. It should be fun. Life is fun.

I have been blogging since 2008, not many people know that. You can ask my husband since he was my faithful fan, encourager, and lone reader. This year I made it my goal to write consistently and to be more active in sharing my work. The idea of having anyone besides Ryan to read my stuff really freaked me out, it still kinda does.

So, I set a goal that by 2014 I would have my blog viewed 500 times. This seemed a very lofty goal, being that when I made it (January 1, 2013), my blog had been viewed exactly 4 times. I decided that as a reward for reaching the 500 mark, I would put up the money to drop the .wordpress from my address and become a .com.

On March 1st I discovered that I was well past the 500 views mark. What? I understand that in the Internet world 500 is equivalent to zero, but in my world I thought it would be a year's work. Looks like I need to make more ambitious goals.

So, cheers to this blog, spots and all. And, cheers to you for reading. If you have ever taken the time to read, I am truly grateful. Thanks for the 'likes' and other responses I have received, you have been more encouraging than I could have imagined.

Today we drop the .wordpress. Woohoo!

Thanks for reading.
